Calm Me My God

In your anger do not sin;
when you are on your beds,
search your hearts and be silent.

~ Psalm 4:4

One of my vulnerable moments is when I am angry. The struggle inside me is so strong that sometimes I lose control of my temper and react inappropriately. Many people who know me would often say that I am such a mild person but I also often tell them that the struggle inside me is so strong. This verse from King David’s psalm is so short and simple yet so full of wisdom. It really takes discipline to calm one’s self in times of struggle against unholy anger. It takes time to be a calm person. It takes faith to lift one’s anger to God, trusting Him that everything is going to be alright.
