New SQA Test Bed. . .Ready to Roll, Sir!

SQA Test Bed

"The New SQA Test Bed"

I am happy that our requested software test bed arrived into our office last week. I and Farvey, our system administrator, set all the units up and did some cabling. Also, I tagged each unit for inventory purposes. Unfortunately 2 of the LCDs was sent back to the vendor for fixing due to crappy flickers on the screen. We also had some hard time running Ubuntu Linux 9 aka Karmic Koala on 2 of the machines. The LCD was displaying this nasty grid of multicolor lines every time we boot it up. I am thinking that this might be due to Ubuntu’s compatibility issues with i5. 😦 I just hope we get this thing up and running smoothly for the next couple of weeks because we are now heading for the end game.

Good luck team! πŸ™‚
